The Spanish culture of tapas
Pan con tomate belongs to one of the classics among the tapas you can eat in Spain. In Spain there is a true tapa culture: when having a drink in a Spanish café you are generally offered one or more delicious snacks of the house, these are called tapas. Sometimes there are so many tapas that you don't even need to eat for dinner anymore. There are hundreds of different tapas but the most popular are: tortilla de patatas, patatas bravas, jamon serrano or iberico, croquetas, calamari and not to forget the delicious pan con tomate! Olé!
Extra tips
The tapa pan con tomate involves a lot of olive oil. So it’s possible that you accidentally end up with a grease stain on your clothes! We always say: prevention is better than cure! Save your favorite outfit from (grease) stains by wearing an apron while grilling. This gives your clothes optimal protection. Barbecook gives you the choice: an elegant black apron or a sturdy leather one. What will it be?
