Do you also find it annoying to scrub your grill completely clean after every barbecue session? We are happy to help you with an accessory that will make this task a lot easier: a grill pan! A grill pan is a tray that you fill with ingredients of your choice and then put on the grid of your gas or charcoal barbecue. This way, the ingredients don't touch your grid and it hardly gets dirty. Handy, isn't it?

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A GRILL PAN?
With a grill pan you don't only avoid a dirty grid, this handy accessory has many more advantages! First of all, thanks to the use of a grill pan, small ingredients cannot slip between your grill. No more food going up in smoke! A grill pan also has perforation holes so that the real barbecue taste can be optimally absorbed by the ingredients. The V-grooves between the rows of the holes catch any juices from your preparations. Furthermore, a grill pan makes it easier to prevent cross-contamination. In case of cross-contamination, pathogenic bacteria come from one product to another. This can happen when you place raw ingredients right next to (partially) baked ingredients on your grill. Preferably use a grill pan to avoid this!
WHICH PREPARATIONS DO YOU PREPARE IN A GRILL PAN?
You are probably wondering what you can prepare in a grill pan? The answer is: a lot! This tray is generally used to prepare small ingredients. These can easily disappear between the grids, for example mushrooms or asparagus tips. A grill pan is also often used to make a fish dish. After all, fish is extra sensitive to break during grilling. A grill pan simply catches any broken pieces. Potatoes, strips of bacon or even fruit can also be prepared in a grill pan. Let’s experiment!
